This form represents an open-plan space that is a stand-alone single-storey building. This template would be used when an existing or proposed building has these characteristics.

Row of single room (RSR) forms
The string of single-room forms represents a row of single or multi-storey connected buildings. This template would be used when modelling one or more buildings within the row.

Small open plan (OP1)
This template represents small multi-storey open-plan buildings that are daylit and stand-alone. This template would be used if the building has a width and depth that is less than 14 m. The template would be chosen to model a single building that has these characteristics. If a building is bigger than this, OP5 would be used as it represents the perimeter and core zones in real open-plan buildings more accurately.

Large open plan (OP5)
This template represents large multi-storey open-plan buildings that are daylit and stand-alone. This template would be used if the building has a width and depth that is 14 m or more. This means the perimeter zones are no bigger or no smaller than 7 m in depth. This is typically regarded as the depth where daylight and solar radiation stops having a significant impact on the space. The use of four perimeter zones and a core zone represents a real large open-plan building in more accuracy. This is due to the core being conditioned and having different thermal loads when compared to the perimeter zones. The template would be chosen to model a single building that has these characteristics.

Cellular strip (CS)
The daylit cellular strip template represents a multi-storey building with cellular zones. An example of this would be a multi-premised office building with internal communal transition space.
