SR293 New Zealand whole-building whole-of-life framework: Life cycle assessment-based indicators (2019)

In April 2013, BRANZ commenced research into development of a New Zealand whole-building whole-of-life framework. The purpose of the framework is to establish a level playing field for evaluation and reporting of the environmental impacts of building designs in comparison with an appropriate reference building, based on life cycle assessment (LCA). Initial focus is on offices.

This report provides a summary of the proposed indicators to underpin the framework and the process that led to the selection of these indicators. Further indicators of interest, but not yet included for calculation with the framework, are also provided.
