SR277/5 Building Energy End-use Study (BEES) Year 5: Modelling detail analysis (2018)

Product Description

This is a study of the Building Energy End-use Study (BEES) modelling conducted by the Centre for Building Performance Research. The findings are distributed between three reports:

  • This first report documents the outcomes of a study identifying which aspects of energy simulation models must be carefully quantified to ensure accurate energy performance modelling.
  • The second report (SR277/6) explores the means by which computer modelling might be used to determine optimum building energy performance.
  • The third report (SR277/7) applies the results from the first and second reports to examine the likely energy and environmental effects of the proposed urban form in the Christchurch central city draft plan.

BEES started in 2007 and ran for 6 years, gathering information on energy and water use through carrying out surveys and monitoring non-residential buildings.
