SR252 Sprinklers for community buildings and places of special or historical interest (2018)

Product Description

This report describes a project that investigated the design of a sprinkler system for community buildings that would otherwise not require a sprinkler system to be installed as part of the building consent process. For the purposes of the report, community buildings are defined as marae, community halls and historic places.

The report discusses the fire incident statistics, current New Zealand and international sprinkler specifications and costs for sprinkler systems and components. It also proposes the framework for a specific sprinkler system applicable to those buildings.
