This research aims to establish an annual sentiment survey for industry to estimate market conditions and workload.

Each year, many different building surveys are conducted by different organisations, each with their own structure and questions. The data and insights from these surveys are often published exclusively for the members or audiences of industry bodies. So, it becomes difficult to compare results and identify trends and changes to accurately measure the industry, especially over time.

By establishing an industry-standard survey format, organisations will be able to quickly compare their survey results with those from other organisations.

In addition, the results from the Construction Industry Confidence Reports will provide key metrics to gauge the confidence, workloads, and related attitudes of builders, architects and specifiers.

The project collects data and insights on critical government proposals, such as building efficiency and product competition, which will make it easier and faster to provide more robust feedback on government initiatives.
