Two BRANZ surveys in 2014 and 2016 looked at attitudes to rainwater and greywater systems and included questions around what may be holding them back in New Zealand. As well as health concerns, cost, storage and education (lack of information) were the biggest barriers for rainwater harvesting, and cost and education were also factors in greywater recycling.
