While NZS 4219:2009 provides guidance for suspended components, including plant and equipment in the suspended ceiling space, it specifically excludes the suspended ceilings themselves, which should instead be designed and constructed in accordance with NZS 1170.5:2004 and AS/NZS 2785:2000.
