Dortek Uninsulated Fire Window
Description
An uninsulated, double-lazed fire window of overall dimensions of 1,340 mm high x 1,590 mm wide in a rebated vermiculite cored window frame moulded within glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) facings and incorporating a 79 mm wide x 3.2 mm thick aluminium frame fixing plate. The window is glazed with a pane of 5 mm thick Firelite glass against the frame rebate with Mann McGowan Pyrotape CF ceramic fibre paper tape 20 mm wide x 2 mm thick between the glass and the frame and Mann McGowan Pyro strip intumescent seal 20 mm wide x 2 mm thick at the edge of the glass and between the glass and the glazing bar. The Firelite glass is held in place with a 15 mm x 15 mm x 1.6 mm thick stainless steel box section glazing bar fixed to the frame by stainless steel screws. To the other side of the glazing bar is a pane of 6 mm thick tempered glass fixed in the frame with Sealmaster Fireglaze compound. The window is fixed in the wall with masonry anchors. Any gap between the window frame and the wall aperture is filled with Mann McGowan Pyromass A acrylic based intumescent sealant.
