Unitex Base Board® Cavity System

The Unitex Base Board® Cavity System is an External Insulated Finishing System (EIFS)wall cladding. The system is designed for use as an external wall cladding system forresidential buildings.

The Unitex Base Board® Cavity System consists of factory coated expanded polystyrene(EPS) sheets (Uni-Base Boards®), which are fi xed over EPS battens to form a drainedcavity. The render coating system consists of a fi breglass mesh reinforced base coatfollowed by the application of fi nishing renders. The chosen fi nishing render can beapplied to give a range of different surface textures and is then fi nished with a 100%acrylic paint system.

The system incorporates a primary and secondary means of weather resistance (fi rst andsecond line of defence) against water penetration by separating the cladding from theexternal wall framing with a nominal 20 mm drained cavity.
