This report details the results of on-site inspections of the physical condition of five small commercial properties in the Bay of Plenty area. It also includes the results of an interview with the property owners to determine maintenance information.
This report follows on from SR91 BRANZ House Condition Survey, which found that New Zealand homeowners need to spend a total of over $5.5 billion on major outstanding maintenance.
This pilot condition survey of small commercial properties provides a starting point for comparing how this category of buildings is maintained.
