This report examines the first 5 years of the BRANZ Green Home Scheme - a domestic building eco-auditing tool for New Zealand use.
The original goal of the tool was to provide designers, developers and the public with an independent, whole-building environmental assessment system specifically tailored for New Zealand conditions.
The report overviews both operational and technical aspects and recommends changes for the reviewed version, as a result of user feedback and developments in New Zealand Codes, building practices and environmental policy.
