Unitex Base Board® Cavity System
Description
The Unitex Base Board® Cavity System is an Exterior Insulation and Finishing System (EIFS) wall cladding. The system is designed for use as an external wall cladding system for residential buildings.
The Unitex Base Board® Cavity System consists of uncoated or factory coated expanded polystyrene (EPS) sheets (Unitex Base Boards®), which are fixed over EPS battens to form a drained cavity. The render coating system consists of a fibreglass mesh reinforced base coat followed by the application of finishing renders. The chosen finishing render can be applied to give a range of different surface textures and is then finished with a 100% acrylic paint system.
The system incorporates a primary and secondary means of weather resistance (first and second line of defence) against water penetration by separating the cladding from the external wall framing with a nominal 20 mm drained cavity.
