About this programme
The current verification method for fire safety design is an important milestone in New Zealand. However, it has limitations, as highlighted recently by both the government and the building industry. This project took the next step towards risk-informed fire safety design. It compiled available knowledge and identified the gaps. The project’s findings could be used for developing a comprehensive research programme aimed at improving how people and buildings are protected from fire.
