About this programme
This report set out to assess the need for multi-functional testing facilities in New Zealand to test the seismic performance of non-structural elements. Seismic performance covers more than strength or detailing requirements for an NSE but is rather employed in a broader sense for example, incorporating mechanical characteristics and function.
After consulting with industry professional it concluded that there is a need for a national “seismic qualification framework” covering characterisation, performance and quality assurance of individual NSE’s.
