Corrosion in the Bay of Plenty environment The Bay of Plenty environment is complicated by marine and geothermal/volcanic influences. It is an area of population growth for New Zealand with many new buildings forecast in coming years. This work investigated the interactions of construction materials and buildings with this unique and challenging environment. It produced updated, critical environmental information for the development of new buildings and infrastructure assets in this fast-growing region.
