This research responds to the urgent need to identify the types of interventions that should be pursued to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Aotearoa New Zealand. Rather than considering emissions reduction interventions in isolation, this project focused on how they can also deliver benefits for well-functioning neighbourhoods, towns and cities. By looking at real-world examples and international and national best practice, the project identified what works and how those solutions can be successfully implemented locally.
