Masons Barricade Weather Defense System

Description

The test specimen consisted of a 3,000 mm high by 3,000 mm wide loadbearing timber framed wall. The 90 mm x 45 mm SG8 Radiata framing was lined on the unexposed face with a single layer of 13 mm thick GIB Fyreline®. On the exposed face, the framing was lined with a single layer of Masons 6 mm Barricade Weather Defense board. A layer of Mason Self-Adhesive Wrap was applied to the exposed face of the Masons 6 mm Barricade Weather Defense board and the framing cavities were filled with Pink® Batts® R2.2 glass wool insulation. A uniformly distributed axial load of 12 kN was applied to the wall.
