Cast steel lid and a surrounding cast steel support frame, which is supported around its perimeter on the side walls of the pit.

• CO = 423 mm
• Test block = 240 mm x 240 mm (square)
• Applied serviceability load: 600 kN
• Max. permanent set: 0.14 mm (permissible 1 mm)
• Max. deflection: 6.3 mm (permissible 9.6 mm)
• Applied ultimate limit state load: 900 kN
• No visible damage
• Passed test
