Description
The Unitex Base Board® Cavity System is an External Insulated Finishing system_blocked(EIFS) wall cladding. The system is designed for use as an external wall cladding system for residential buildings.
The Unitex Base Board® Cavity System consists of factory coated expanded polystyrene (EPS) sheets (Uni-Base Boards®), which are fixed over EPS battens to form a drained cavity. The render coating system consists of a fibreglass mesh reinforced base coat followed by the application of finishing renders. The chosen finishing render can be applied to give a range of different surface textures and is then finished with a 100% acrylic paint system.
The system incorporates a primary and secondary means of weather resistance (first and second line of defence) against water penetration by separating the cladding from the external wall framing with a nominal 20 mm drained cavity.
