BGC Duragrid™ Facade System
Description
The BGC Duragrid™ Facade System is a cavity-based, express-jointed wall cladding system. It is designed to be used as an external wall cladding system for residential and light commercial type buildings where domestic construction techniques are used.
The BGC Duragrid™ Facade System consists of Duragrid™ fibre-cement sheet fixed over timber battens and extruded aluminium backing strips to form a cavity. The Duragrid™ fibre-cement sheet is finished with an acrylic paint system.
The system incorporates a primary and secondary means of weather resistance (first and second line of defence) against water penetration by separating the cladding from the external wall framing with a nominal 20 mm cavity.
