Passive fire protection measures are an incredibly important part of building design and construction. When appropriately integrated into a building, they respond against flame, heat and smoke to maintain the fundamental requirements of building compartmentation, structural stability, fire separation and safe means of escape. This makes passive fire protection vital in ensuring the safety of building occupants, firefighters and property.

This practical seminar will examine the building element features of passive fire design and help:

  • Architects and designers to realise the required fire resistance ratings
  • Builders to better understand the installation requirements
  • Building officials to be confident that the fire resistance ratings have been met
  • Independent Qualified Persons (IQPs) to better understand their role in future building inspections

This seminar is brought to you in partnership with GIB.
