Incorporating the details in consent documentation
BRANZ weathertight solutions details are conservative solutions designed to provide a high level of weathertightness safety for designers. These details may be imported directly into building consent or contract documentation to support compliance with the New Zealand Building Code clause E2 External moisture. The details must be consented as an Alternative Solution under the Building Code.

Note: If the details included in this collection are adapted to suit specific site details, then the weathering components and construction principles incorporated in them must be followed to achieve an acceptable level of weathertightness.
