Workshop: H1 Compliance under the Verification Method - ALF 3.2

ALF3.2.GIFThe Annual Loss Factor (ALF) online tool is an increasingly popular way for architects and designers to demonstrate compliance with NZBC clause H1 under the Verification Method.

This interactive workshop is designed to promote an understanding of the BPI Verification Method, ALF 3.2, how it works and how to quickly and efficiently identify compliance for the purposes of processing consent applications.

Topics covered

  • What to look for - processing consents
  • ALF 3.2 and H1
  • How ALF 3.2 is used
  • Why use ALF 3.2

This is an opportunity for Building Consent Officers, their contractors and local architects and designers to get together and gain an in-depth understanding of ALF 3.2.

Workshop format

The workshops are held over one week day from 9.30am to around 3.30pm. There are two options, depending on availability of computers:

  • Computer-based - participants sign up to ALF 3.2 and work through projects online.
  • Participant-led - the participants drive the program with the instructor.

By the end of the course, participants will be familiar with ALF 3.2, its output and what is required for H1 BPI compliance verification.
