 BU555 A guide to ALF 3.2

BU555.jpgALF 3.2 (Annual Loss Factor) is an online tool for calculating the thermal performance and the Building Performance Index (BPI) of houses to demonstrate compliance through the Verification Method for New Zealand Building Code clause H1 Energy efficiency.

ALF 3.2 can be used instead of the NZS 4218:2004 schedule and calculation methods. Modelling assumptions about the building design default to the BPI and H1 requirements.

This bulletin describes the scope of ALF 3.2 and how it can be used, with tips on entering data.
